'Two ball playing centre halves would be something we’ve not had for a long time'

Yeah let's ignore wins, points and massive improvement in our defence since Toto has returned. More important is to have ... 'two ball playing CB's '

You just like some others can't wait for Toto to give away a penalty. Been about a year since the last one.

I’d prefer to have a footballer who can play football and not look terrified when anyone presses him when he has the ball playing at the back. I’d also prefer a centre half who I have complete confidence in no matter the situation. Toto is far from being the standard I’d expect as he doesn’t have all the attributes I’d like to see as Edmundson’s partner, simple as that.

As the last post said in the conversation with Joe, the upturn in defensive form isn’t just down to Toto. And, as many have been saying, he’s been getting away with it although not against Oldham.

Toto doesn't look terrified. Quite opposite. He loves the challenges and wins them mostly. He was our rock last Saturday.

Yes, the upturn in defensive form is down to Toto. The facts are clear. Burgess and Woolfenden are definitely worse CB's.

As for getting away with poor performances there is no-one as distinctive as Woolfenden. He doesn't like challenges, he has no courage for the physical battle. Let's re-call the home defeat to Swindon last season for example. 2-3 defeat in which Woolfenden had a shocker. Not challenging opposition at all, the Swindon forwards had a freedom of our box. What happened after the game? Barely any criticism about him. It was all about how 'distraught' he looked in the post-match interview.

Toto is one of the best centre-backs in this league according to Cook and this view doesn't surprise me even one bit. We had been shipping goals without him last and this season. You can keep defying the facts though as to how good defensively we are with him in the team.

I'm very calm when he plays. Quite opposite to Woolfenden as the latter does cause me the heart palpitations.

I haven’t defied the facts once, you’re making up your own argument here. Cook’s appraisal of Toto is in part true but also in part to give him a confidence fence boost as he’s a confidence player.

I said Toto looks terrified when pressed when in possession, not that he doesn’t like a challenge.

He’s an incomplete footballer with limited attributes. Every one in the ground knows he has big mistakes in him and is waiting for it to happen. Even if it doesn’t, I’d rather not spend the season waiting for it to happen. It’s already happened once and there will be bigger ones in pivotal matches.

Say what you want though. He's the key component in our defence if we want to get promoted. Him or Edmundson getting injured and out of the team may cost us dearly.

As for mistakes no-one is free of that. You've just been bizarrely scrutinizing Toto. Again very opposite to Woolfenden as the latter will keep getting away with poor performances when playing.

'There will be bigger ones in pivotal matches'......Wow you can predict the future. We've just had a few pivotal matches of late and massive improvement in our defence.

Sorry but why make up this nonsense? Or have you been speaking to Cook?

Agree Wolfenden has had his fair share too. Cook said he wanted to keep footballers who he could work with. Wolfenden will develop, Toto won’t. And, for all the reasons stated in all my previous posts which you clearly haven’t read, Toto is limited.

You’re trying to turn this into not an argument of which i have zero interest. If you rate Toto, good for you. My opinion is he’s a terrible footballer with limited attributes and a disaster waiting to happen. He even does the basics wrong: doesn’t turn when there’s time, plays a first time pass when he can have a touch, has a touch bit its a poor one and gets closed down, tries to play a first time pass and stands on the ball. The list is endless.

It comes from a lot of football experience at a decent level and having reports published about team mates and myself in local and National media. Toto needs his confidence building to play well, it’s good management from Cook. Toto struggles to pass and control a ball at the best of times so a head down, low on confidence Toto is no good for anyone.

Cool said, “Toto is the best defender in the league” or words to that effect. 1-on-1 he’s strong and hard to beat, that’s what Cook was referring to. Anything other than that, clearly isn’t true. He’s not even the best header of the ball at our club let alone the league!

'There will be bigger ones in pivotal matches from Nsiala'

'Woolfenden will develop, Toto won’t'

You keep talking about the future. It's bizarre. Can you tell us what Euromillion numbers will we get in the tomorrows draw?

No way am I going to turn this into the argument. Just trying to talk about the facts which you keep defying.

The list is endless. What list? Your nonsense you come up with?

Our defence is better with him. The results and defensive performances speak for themselves. Cook rates him very highly. End of.

Talking about the future is bizarre? I think this is the first conversation you and I have had but I you’re on block from now, not because of you’re differing points of view but because you sound like an absolute cock.

Come back Joe. That conversation was interesting and insightful. This guy’s limited, at best.

Yes your yapping about the future is bizarre because you just know 100% as to what's going to happen with Toto. All bad things are going to happen because you've just said so.

You're calling me an absolute cock because you can't handle my views about the player.

Put me on the block then. Not going to lose any sleep over it.

I don't enjoy saying this but i'm not sure woolfenden will develop much. For me it's not his technical ability that needs to improve - it's his willingness to get hurt.

Poll: Which would you accept?
