I think Truss would be my choice. She's not as horrendous as Patel, Gove etc and she's also much more beatable in an election.

If a Lab/Lib government is viable without the SNP, even in a minority, they will definitely be the preferred coalition partners. [Post edited 23 Nov 2021 12:42]

Have we covered Johnson's shambolic speech yet? on 09:26 - Nov 23 by Blueschev | It has diverted people's attention away from the Health and Care Bill. Job done. |
au contraire, it has merely compounded voters thoughts that he is utterly incompetent. Without that shtshow of a speech, he might have been able to fight back against adverse comment about the social care bill. Much as with his disastrous intervention in the Paterson case. Had he had kept quiet in would have blown over. Undelines the old saying about better to keep quiet and be thought an idiot, than to open your mouth and confirm that thought.

Most voters attention will now be drawn to Boris "doing a Boris" rather than giving the social care care bill much or any attention. It's classic Johnson, distract people with buffoonery in order to distract them from what's actually going on. Hopefully the loveable idiot act (and it is an act) will begin to wear thin, but it's got him where he is today.
