I don't agree with the decision 20:03 - Dec 4 with 1708 viewsCheltenham_Blue

but I can move on from Cook. Managers are always transient.

So, what now. Would we be happy with any style of play if it gets us up, or is it free flowing, attacking football or nothing?

With the players we have, we'd be hard pressed to set up to be difficult to beat, as is the standard for L1 clubs it seems.

I'm disappoint d we've sacked another manager and it seems we have a new manager most of the time at the moment.

However, football has changed and instant improvement/success is needed.

I'm fairly sure Alex Ferguson wouldn't have lasted at man utd in this era.

We've had two managers in just over 3 years.

When the average length of their tenure in this league is 1 year and a week. And, ultimately it’s only Cook’s fault he didn’t get longer. If he’d got us playing as a unit he’d still be here. Seems a really strange thing to complain about. He was failing.

Completely agree. I wouldn't have complained had Cook been given the next 2-3 league games but let's be honest, it wasn't working and he was on borrowed time. Lambert was given a year (or more) too long. We really aren't a club that is trigger happy with managers, far from it.

I understand Cook hasn’t performed well. I get that. What I detest is the vindictiveness shown by so many fans on here towards a basically honest guy, who has tried his best and put the work in. His past record isn’t shabby, but it just hasn’t happened for him here, yet he’s been spoken about like he’s a piece of S hyte on here. It’s shameful.

I fully accept it wasn’t good enough , and after today I was almost expecting his sacking. But they way people attack him is disgraceful. Sorry but that’s just how I see it.

Exaggerated bollox basically
