Wait a minute.
Who’s supporting the Chinese treatment of the Uyghurs? Or the Tibetans or any other minority? I’d say it’s even become a cause celebre in the West and already part of state diplomacy and trade negotiations.
Meanwhile the far more well-documented and longer occupation and oppression of Palestinians is effectively being sanctioned by our government.
Imagine if apartheid in South Africa was still going and people brought in “What about the Uyghurs?” Let’s stick to principles of right and wrong. | |

I'm amazed that no-one has set the record straight on this over the last 24 hours.
Starmer has "thrown" Corbyn out of the Parliamentary Labour Party over his failure to tackle anti-semitism. He is suspended by the PLP. That's the bit of the Labour Party that Starmer has direct control over.
Corbyn is therefore technically an Independent Labour MP currently, and there are rumours circulating that he is going to set up his own Party:
