Is penney the weakest link ? on 10:14 - Jan 18 by Scuzzer | KVY replaced him on that side last match. An option? |
I would say so, he played regularly at LB for Colchester. Shown glimpses of his old self in recent weeks, but needs a run in the side.

Is penney the weakest link ? on 11:24 - Jan 18 by Grumpy_Old_Man | League One teams have League One players who by their nature will make mistakes. In my view our tactics were found to be wrong on saturday. We were playing short out of defence when Bolton were quickly closing us down and that is why mistakes happened. Cook was criticised for changing his pattern of play, we saw the same at Bolton! |
I hear what you’re saying about playing it short from the back. Donacian seemed to find the space loads of times to accept the ball from Walton. Penney didn’t

Is penney the weakest link ? on 12:32 - Jan 18 with 534 views | RobTheMonk | Positives - Gets in good forward positions. - Generally a decent crosser. - Deceptively good in the air. - Quite happy to put a foot in. Negatives - Lack of recovery pace. - Can't deal with a high press. Perfectly fine as a squad player, but a position that we can improve in.

He was much better than Penney when he replaced him in the second half at home to Sunderland recently.

Is penney the weakest link ? on 10:07 - Jan 18 by SamWhiteUK | He was infuriating on Saturday. Couldn't work out a way past his man (he was thoroughly outplayed by the guy with the afro, can't remember his name) and the amount of times he just passed the ball out of play left me tearing my hair out. I think we need another option there, as Coulsen has proven he's decent when fit, but not fit often enough. If we could get a permanent signing, and someone who is comfortable both at LB and LWB, that would be the dream. |
I'm not really sure about Coulsen proving he is decent. He didn't stand out for me in the five matches he's started, four of which he was substituted in, and in the one he played the whole match we conceded five goals.

Is penney the weakest link ? on 18:32 - Jan 18 with 390 views | Vic | I sense a bit of criticism in the OP but truth be told, every team, even Man City, have a weakest link! Someone has to be the worst player in any team. Penney might be that player for us, but he’s a fair bit better than many we’ve had on our books for the last few years. I say that we get on a support them rather than looking for a scape goat all the time.
