It froze here on Thursday morning and I watched in wonder as a neighbour poured an entire tub of table salt over her new car in at 7:45 and then drove off leaving a huge fairy circle of table salt all over the road.
Saw her husband tonight, who is a taxi driver and asked him what had happened, thinking maybe they had had a row and she was trying to piss him off.
Nope, my first instinct was correct, apparently she had seen a link on Facebook which said the quickest way to de-ice the car is to use salt on the windows.
His explanation was followed by a very awkward silence as my dog took a sh1t. |  |
