Cocaine and football violence 17:25 - Feb 8 with 4175 views | gtsb1966 | Never thought I would see the day when something different to booze would be the main contributor to football violence. Never had it myself so wouldn't know what it does to a person. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60300610

Cocaine and football violence on 21:20 - Feb 8 by Swansea_Blue | Trouble is, it’s not just you having a few pints. The social and economic costs of alcohol are huge. Not that drugs are any better. Both cause massive issues. |
My biggest issue is hiw many natural substances then get lumped in with worse drugs. How has no one campaigned for PM on the legalisation of weed and mushrooms at the very least yet?

Cocaine and football violence on 21:22 - Feb 8 by monytowbray | Where do you think your Amazon goods are made? Or how the metals for our tech is harvested? Prohibition = Black market. You are looking at the symptom and not the cause. |
I'm really not getting your point? Cocaine/illegal drugs cause all sorts of sorrow, pain and destruction in already poor societies. If your general point is that it should be legalised and regulated then I very much see the merit in it.

Cocaine and football violence on 21:24 - Feb 8 by monytowbray | Look at some domestic violence stats. FYI charlie isn’t my habit, it’s a sh1t drug. But again, booze is worse and you’ve probably worked with plenty of Coke heads who were fine and normal. |
Yours=one's. Didn't mean to make it personal

Alcohol causes these problems and then some. Difference is alcohol is socially acceptable and legal. The criminalisation of drugs plays a huge part in also ruining lifes. It’s really not as straight forward as decades of anti-drug propaganda would have you believe.

Cocaine and football violence on 19:21 - Feb 8 by Kentish_Tractor | I am ashamed to say I succumbed to peer pressure many moons ago in my student days on freshers week and met Charlie once. For those of you lucky enough to have not tried it - basically it gives you an intense rush and completely removes your self control. Any slight antagonisation and you can lose it. Followed by intense feeling of depression on the come-down. Had no inclination to go near the stuff ever again and found new friends. Think they should bring more sniffer dogs to games to identify coked up fans and give them bans. Horrible stuff. |
I don't do it anymore but have had plenty in the past and my experience has been nothing like that. Sounds like you had a dodgy batch, and probably not even coke at all. It neither made me feel depressed or violent.

I agree. I felt that you were unusually vague and flippant with your initial response. [Post edited 8 Feb 2022 22:39]

The poster I replied to initially has form and historic ignorance on the topic. The fact it’s quite upvoted makes it more depressing. At least we all know which narcs not to invite to future TWTD events though…

In London you can usually get a taster menu licking the toilet cistern lid in spoons. In a football note, I did hear some younger lads waiting for the cubicle and screaming about having the gear at Cambridge away this season. Then again I was stoned off my tits and half the crowd were pissed so who am I to judge,

Ignoring who wrote it, there's a lot of truth in their statement. You played the man .... man!

Yeah but again, if that’s the benchmark then I’ve got some terrible news about where most the clothing and electronics are made. For example it’s estimated 50% of the world’s cotton is produced by false imprisonment (and genocidal at that). Not that it justifies or cancels out either, but prohibition is not helping the drugs side of things. I’ll play the man in this case because he’s intentionally being disingenuous with all context and past posting considered.

Made me chat endless sh1t (which is the normal setting anyway) and kills any sex drive. You can get the same rush without the above downing lots of coffee.

I've never been a regular user and not touched it in years, but have had a little from time to time in the past and have to agree, I didn't recognise that decription at all.

Endless trips to the toilet and an irritated nose. I never saw the attraction.
