Just four points from a possible 15 after conceding the first goal since he took over. It's just not good enough for a team with supposed promotion ambitions - especially when you consider that, excluding Accrington who we did beat, the sides we failed to win against were Bolton (11th), Wednesday (5th), Morecambe (21st) and Cambridge (13th). Wednesday aside, they're hardly the division's strongest sides.
Anyway, our season is over - let's see the youngsters over the next few weeks. I think we have a good idea out of the seniors who deserve to be here next season and who need to be moved on. |  |

That’s the whole team, I do think we need to tweak things tactically in the final 3rd and I’ve been consistent with that stance, we have had games where we’ve created a lot and missed good chances and we have had games where we have had total control but not created much.

That's an interesting point - he changed it after his first defeat at Bolton. Fpor Wycombe, Gillingham and the game at Bolton we played more of a 3-4-1-2. |

I don't honestly think McKenna's qualities of turning games around is the issue as much as it is getting a couple of players in key spots.
I'm sorry if this offends anyone (not really), but Norwood shown how deserving he is of a contract today and Thompson/Penney just arent the people we need on the left. I've said this time and again, if you're gonna cross in League 1, you need to do it early and have the players to do it, if you don't, your wingers need to be able to cut inside (Burns). |
If we can find a left sided version of Burns and some strikers more suited to McKenna's system, I think we will be winning the league with clearance
McKenna has done an excellent job and he himself will know where our shortfalls are
Let's hope for some serious recruitment in the summer and then we can look forward to a very enjoyable season
