You clearly don’t have a clue what facts are though, as you listed 3 things as facts and two of them weren’t even close to being facts [Post edited 6 Apr 2022 20:05]

On point number 1: 9 Ipswich Town You see that number nine there, that suggests we are in exactly the same position as when Cook was sacked (unless I am mistaken on that?). Point 2 was an opinion, but a fairly well informed one, having seen the entire promotion winning season home and away, I have seen what a top two side looks like. I would suggest we are not one, and the closest I have seen us look like one was at Wycombe and Portsmouth. Bu of course the consistency was not there. I do think McKenna is perfectly capable of achieving a top two side, and there have been elements of our play which suggests we will get there next year. But the reality is, we are not there yet, and if we were, we would have put away Cambridge at home, and we would not have conceded late at Oxford. Top two sides don't do those things.

Top two sides do do those things, just very rarely. Mckenna hasn't been here long enough for it to be obvious that cambridge was a blip.

We have made up ground as we are closer in points. By your logic if we’re 7th when he took over but 20 points from the playoffs and were now in the same position but only a point away we wouldn’t have made up ground, which is clearly nonsense And yes it was an opinion, but you said it was a fact which is why I said you didn’t know what facts are. I don’t agree with your opinion either, promotion winning sides take many forms, the similarity being that they pickup points regularly which we have done under McKenna (not quite enough for top 2 but certainly very close). To further illustrate the point, Wigan have only scored 4 goals in a game this season three times this season, with only one of those being since McKenna took charge. They have also conceded late equalisers at times (including one four games ago) and dropped points where you would expect them to win, because those things happen in football

Jesus wept, are you being deliberately obtuse or are you really this dull? Paul Cook 28 points from 22 games, 1.27 points per game Kieran McKenna 35 points from 18 games, 1.94 points per game 2 points per game is the generally accepted benchmark to win automatic promotion, that's where the top 3 sides in the table sit currently. The fact that we are only 9th clearly isn't down to the performance of Kieran McKenna. Expecting him to have achieved more than 2 points per game in order to make up enough ground to force us into the promotion picture inspite of the form of the sides above us, is completely unrealistic. Just to be 6th currently, he would have needed to gain 2.44 points per game. Wigan are top and they've managed 2.13. Perspective. You have none.
