Mick Lambert is the only one that maybe comes to mind?

Wasn't he a winger? I was struggling most at the back.

Yeah he was, but in my mind so was LePen, for the short period I saw him play. I'm probably wrong there. I had the same issue at the back, wonder if it's a thing that defenders stay longer so there is less to choose from? Never thought about that before.

That's why I used Le Pen on the outside of the middle 3, whether that was about right... I didn't think I could put him in at the back. I'm not sure what position Leadbetter played, as it was before my time... could he be a round peg anywhere? [Post edited 12 Jul 2022 14:18]

Probably wouldn't matter where you put him, he's only going to last, what was it? 11 minutes?

Tom Lawrence would walk into that midfield. I think Byron Lawrence would get in ahead of Le Pen. [Post edited 12 Jul 2022 14:25]

Good calls - I've swapped out Greg Leigh for Les Tibbott, as he was a stretch to include anyway!! Also Tom Lawrence in for Le Pen

Mick Mills was a Right Back for some years until Burley appeared on the scene, and he was then just as good at Left Back.

Indeed, and as I've said before on here in his younger days he had a tremendous shot on him. When England were playing Brazil some of the Brazilian fans watching an England training session saw Mick's shooting and thought it must be Bobby Charlton.
