How on earth did me manage to get him? He’s clearly far too good for league one. He’d walk into most Championship teams.

Do you think he’s a lower league keeper?

I genuinely believe this squad is better suited for championship football. This is a horrible league not skill based

Had him already in the building then paid him a lot of money!

Only so many GKs in the league can play every week, and outside PL he's prob not far off the top 10 paid keepers.

He's a very good GK, and certainly one you'd expect to not need to worry about for the Championship when we go up this season

off topic, but you see the dad on the school run this morning (if you done it) in the new norwich shirt with HOLT 9 on the back?

probably have to wear my stone island coat on pick up, just to show him that sort of behaviour isnt acceptable in IP5

We’ll be good again... one day

I got scoffed at last year around October time, for suggesting that Walton would be the best signing out of our 3 main loan players (Walton, Celina, Bonne). Should we sign any of them.
I was very pleased when we signed him permanent. I thought the whole defence looked more relaxed with Walton in goal.. That save at Wycombe, when they had us under the cosh, was incredible.. I think he'd be easily comfortable in The Championship.. And at 26yrs, with our current staff around him. We could well see him improve further. Definitely one of the best keepers in this division. And someone we wouldn't need an immediate upgrade on, should we get promoted. Unlike a few other positions.

I don't remember anyone scoffing at signing Walton. I thought everyone thought it was a bit of a coup.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I did do the school run today but thankfully didn't see that disgrace - need to set Holty the cat on him.

I hope it isn't a sports day for him and he'd wear it for that - what a tosser

Please report this to the police or failing that to T Swallow esq, Copdock.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

This was a couple of months before he signed permanent , around October time...I asked the question on BM podcast.. "Which of the 3 , Celina, Walton or Bonne would you sign?" Giving my answer as Walton... At the time, Bonne was 6-7games without a goal and Celina was a bit hit and miss, as was the team in general.. What I noticed most about Walton, was the positive effect he had on the players around him. Kinda galvanised the back line imo. At a time, under Cook, when we were still very inconsistent and playing as individuals. He certainly helped bring the best out of Fridge, imo. Who looked a lesser player with Hladky in goal, very nervy...
Think all the BM team chose Bonne..(No surprise)
Agree, no one scoffed when Walton signed permanent in Jan.. It was obvious by then that he was an upgrade on both, Hladky and Holy..
