He did play one game, I can’t remember who it was against, where he literally punched everything. I think it was probably his last game before Walton came in.
It was almost as if he’d lost any ability to catch a ball to the extent that the GK coach had resorted to telling him to just punch everything. Very bizarre. [Post edited 9 Aug 2022 21:15]

I think the simple answer is because he's an Ipswich player, isn't it?
The longer answer is that he never had an opportunity to show what he could do under McKenna. He's been involved in pre-season and made some kind of positive impression on the manager, so why not be optimistic?
Seems like you've made up your mind on him based on what we saw under Cook, which strikes me as unfair given the whole squad was pretty lacklustre at that point. | |
