i believe the queens park, off which it was founded, was named in honor of queen victoria, so no relavance to gender

I understand what a 'Queen' is in gay circles but what's a 'King'.

Freddie suggested the guys change the bands name from Smile to Queen, so I don't think the gay connection can be denied.
