...but we have looked god awful against teams like this in the past in these kind of competitions.

That is not a bad 2nd 11 to have up your sleeve. We've so often been on the receiving end of men against boys performances it's great to see us serve them up to other teams.

Ball is different gravy. Keogh was like a teacher in an u9s game. Humphries was class. And so glad to see Fred score.

Winning and momentum are so important. You got to believe KMcK gets that.

Some stuff he does very very well. To be fair he was played into a shocking position by his team mates where he nearly gifted a goal.

But yes...he occasionally looks the most likely to make a mistake. Keogh may swap out with him occasionally?

Agree with all of this.

Ladapo does a lot of the hard work really well, which is so important in that particular role. It looked like his unfortunate run in front of goal was continuing until he got the goal - let's hope that that adds to his confidence going forward.

Shout out to the ref for playing 'play on' leading up to that goal.

And nice to be using the less important trophies to our advantage rather than it just being generally a bit depressing and a bit pointless!

It was good to watch despite it being against kids. Didn't give them anything and in the most part bossed the game. There may be occasions stuff doesn't come off or looks sketchy but the risk/reward seems to have a higher upside.

The one bad thing to come out of the game is KVY post-match interview disclosing that Keogh's nickname is 'Keesy'. (But even that has an upside in that Mckenna, unlike McCarthy, won't be caught using it.) Imagine if at school that was the standard of the nicknames we gave the teachers.

It appeared to me that it was a far stronger team than we have put out against the youths in previous seasons. Maybe McKenna is not prepared to completely weaken any team that bears the first team name to the degree that previous managers have done.
