Everybody* loves Liz Truss 17:18 - Sep 26 with 4654 views | Zx1988 | Just look at this polling of confidence ratings, even amongst Tory voters: It doesn't get much more damning than that. Oh no, wait, it does: *Nobody

Everybody* loves Liz Truss on 11:03 - Sep 27 by DanTheMan | Anyone else more than a little worried about what's happening? Those interest rates being talked about for next year are really bad combined with the cost of electricity / gas. I think the people predicting mass unrest were very much right given the way things are going. |
Ideology has come second to the Tories winning elections for the last few years. I think we will start to see them row back on the ideological side of things like tax cuts and hear them talk more about “support” over the next few months and then a full on double barrelled Covid-esque “rescue policy” for the economy in the Spring budget. They can then call an election next summer with a “we saved the economy and everyone’s jobs” message. To sum up, I think it’ll get worse before it gets better but it will get better.

Everybody* loves Liz Truss on 21:13 - Sep 26 by ArnoldMoorhen | He only has to come second amongst the MPs to get on the ballot. Then it us up to a sample of 165,000 randomly chosen, highly representative people to decide who governs us this time! |
Considering most Tory MPs will recognize they have no hope at the next election with Truss in charge, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest that in desperation they selected Boris again in hope he performs a miracle. If he gets to the last two you can be sure the faithful would choose him.
