What is it you like best about the Tories? The bigotry, the corruption, the utter lack of empathy for anyone on less than £150K a year or the criminality?
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Does part of you want the chain to collapse Dubbers? My main client who told me weeks ago that dollar parity was coming and is a big fish in the investment world today assured me that a property price crash (circa 20%) is pretty much inevitable. 6 weeks ago he was cautious and non committal.
Not at the moment, we're really keen on the house we've got, but if things keep going south we may be the ones collapsing the chain.
I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun.
I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

That's if you can get booked in on the outlets Poxy App - 3 weeks in advance
Seriously you will be booking your tables just to have a drink. Most pubs are sill going to have to pay 2.5 times last years fuel bills.
It will be £5-6 per pint for crap like Fosters and Carling in your local very soon. If you cant pay that then they will be closed..................Forever.

Out of the single market, devalued sterling, stagflation, expensive foreign holidays…
BoJo has probably sent his letter in.I reckon this is all part of his plan. Get Truss in to fwck it up and then to come riding back in as the great blonde saviour just before the next GE.

Cameron had 6 years and would have had more if he hadn't run away rather than stay to face the mess he made with the brexit vote.

Quite a few people were saying this as the leadership campaign started shaping up. I wouldn’t put it past him to try, but can’t see how he’d get the support. He had a spectacular fall from grace amongst his own MPs. Who knows though, they don’t seem the most level-headed bunch.

31% of leave voters.
10% of remain.
As you say, how there are still double figures thinking it will work is bizarre.
She’ll soon lose the Leave vote trying to recruit foreigners to fill the vacant roles, yet her ideology won’t work without them. Her own MPs are already pushing back on immigration. I can see that being the thing that ultimately brings her down, which would be a delicious irony. Hoisted by one’s own petard.
I don’t know what I find more nauseating. The stupidity, which appears to have no limits or their lies, corruptness, vaulting arrogance and sheer nastiness.
The can’t say they didn’t know or that it was somebody else’s fault, though they’ll try. It’s down to them alone. Shame everyone bar the 1% they represent will be paying for generations.
The tories have played fast and loose since the day they walked into power 12 years ago. I thought the lunacy of Brexit was bad enough. They’ve now destroyed the economy utterly. It’ll recover one day, but it won’t be for many years.
In days gone by, when people like Thomas More fell from power, they often paid for it on the block at Tower Hill. Maybe not quite as extreme as that, I’d happily see people like Johnson, Truss, Patel Kwarteng held accountable for crimes against the state, treason or something.
How dare they do what they’ve done.

He only has to come second amongst the MPs to get on the ballot. Then it us up to a sample of 165,000 randomly chosen, highly representative people to decide who governs us this time!

If there's no meaningful accountability, then our political standards are ratcheted down even further, and the next lot of scumbags think they can get away with even more, ad infinitum.
We have to hold them accountable in a real and meaningful sense, we owe it to the future.
Part of the problem is that decent people feel obliged to actually debate the bullsh!t excuses to justify their actions that the right wing scum come up with, while they just laugh at our appeals for decency, and stuff their pockets.
We need a much more aggressive response from a centre-left-Green alliance, backed by direct action from large chunks of the public. We are too passive at the moment.

Wasn't Cameron PM for six years, from May 2010 to June 2016?

Just remember this is the Foreign Secretary who offered support to the Baltic states across the Black sea
just an example of her 'ability'
That’s Lib Dems for you.
In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
It is never a good idea to under-estimate the capabilities of your foe. Truss may be wooden in her style and may come across as a bit dim but anyone who reaches the top of the slimy pole must be reckoned with.
Never think 'It's in the bag'. Most people thought that Clinton could not lose in 2016 (or that Trump could not win). And who remembers Kinnock's victory rally, was there ever a more cringeworthy 'event' in British politics?

Cameron was a rotten PM. He gambled on the Brexit vote and that has directly led to the disaster of where we are. He also oversaw an austerity programme that had little to do with economics and everything to do with their weird ideology. A dreadful man.
