Keogh has been really poor hasn't he? on 17:27 - Oct 9 by GlasgowBlue | Stuart Watson seeing it completely differently. “ Richard Keogh, having waited patiently for his league debut, was exceptional. His vast Championship experience was clear to see. He read danger, headed balls away and was ultra calm in possession. McKenna described his performance as 'colossal'. |
I made Keogh MOTM. I thought he was very good right from the tackle that he made early on in the game. When I first saw this thread I did not even think that the OP was serious. As you said earlier in the thread, maybe being there made the difference. He may well have an important part to play this season, particularly in some away games.

He was fine, he was however a downgrade on the Wolf/Edmundson partnership in my opinion. A few times in the first half he got caught on the ball when trying something and one time this nearly let them straight in after trying what looked like a stepover, he recovered but Edmundson would be getting pelters for that. His expected his passing to be an upgrade but it's wasn't in this match. In the second half he defended well but I think Watson and McKenna are both a bit over the top there (but then what do I know). He will be useful for us but I don't think we should be moving away from Wolf/Edmundson, especially now that Edmundson has played himself back into form and because both of those have scope to improve and be our foundation for a few seasons. If anything that supports the view that he's probably isn't and shouldn't be the first choice pairing but is going to be useful on the pitch and possibly even more useful off the pitch. Certainly his experience will be great for the younger defenders and he certainly could become a coach. SB
Keogh has been really poor hasn't he? on 16:53 - Oct 10 with 488 views | dirtyboy | Missed the game live, so watched the full game yesterday, was obviously looking at Keogh due to the comments. I think he was lacking a little in sharpness in first half but didn't do a great deal wrong. Second half he was decent, no 10/10 but just a good solid 7/10. Wasn't worth a thread to comment on how poor he was IMO.
Keogh has been really poor hasn't he? on 17:19 - Oct 10 with 458 views | Dubtractor | As one of the boards more vanilla posters, it's unusual for me to post something that gets a bit of a negative reaction. Perhaps I was more swayed by his hesitancy on the ball, especially when contrasted with Woolfenden, but it wasn't a performance that wowed me. I'll keep my opinions blander for the next few days though.

If you'd have said that our defence has more holes in it with Kogh playing than Jeremy Corbyn's manifesto, then we could have got you a ten pager Dubbers.

You've got trouble written all over you, suck it up etc. Nah, not really of course. I have felt for you on this thread because it should be clear you posted during the heat of the game. Usually these in the moment comments are taken for what they are and get swept off the board. It's an on the spot take based on what's happening at that moment which isn't supposed to be taken apart systematically and forensically over the course of the days following. Sit on the waiting list for the black shirt for a few days then when it arrives self flagellate with it whilst reciting the '78 team in backward alphabetical order. You'll be fine. Edit: Another option would be to edit the OP and then ask everyone wtf they're on about. [Post edited 10 Oct 2022 18:00]
