Matchday Parking 21:49 - Oct 17 with 2848 viewsbluebudgie

Phil, I hope this is ok to put this on the board.
My son-in-law has asked if I can post this as he has just become the owner of the car sales site formally known as Astons, which for those of you who are unsure where it is its opposite the corporation dump in Portmans Walk and consequently yards away from Portman Road
On Match days he will be offering secure car parking at £7.50 per car (cash only)and parking will be available this coming Friday against Derby.
The full adress for sat navs is Hexagon Commercials,32 Portmans Walk Ipswich IP1 2DW

The car park will be open from 5 Hope that ok Phil Cheers

Me and my mate had parked their all last season and is an ideal place and before it was only £5
To be honest I think £7.50 is a tad expensive but I would be happy to pay £6 which I would say is appropriate

Evening parking, on council car parks (after 2.00pm Mon- Fri) is £2.50.
As others have pointed out that's expensive at £7.50
Some council parks have a 'sliding scale' pricing policy and all day on Saturday is £6.25.
So,again, seems expensive

I always weight up cost of parking with ease of access away from the traffic so tend to park a 10 minute walk away so you can get straight out.

Too expensive and wouldn’t pay cash only either. You must be a Tory.

Bit weird to hunt down a months old post just to write a snarky comment, no?

He has been up and running now for a few weeks and he can now take card payments and not just cash and the price is £7 . For your information, I wouldn't be voting Tory or for any of the present shower at the next election.

Exactly this. I struggle to understand why anyone parks and pays, unless of course they have mobility issues. I always park on the side roads off Norwich Road. Only a 10 min walk, free and quicker to get away. My friend pays £5 in Sainsbury's - I get home before her and save so much money - around £100 for the season at least.
