Other than the Cambridge game, with 3 late goals to make it look easier than it was, we've been stuttering a little for a while now (can probably go right back to early September for the last convincing win).
Tonight the night it clicks again and we cruise to victory?!
I'm kidding myself aren't I? On paper, it could easily be a battering for Vale, but with key players out and still not looking convincing at the top end of the pitch (still no idea who our strongest front 3 are?!), I expect a nervy night. [Post edited 25 Oct 2022 11:13]

I feel we're in danger of being pegged back tonight, must be tough for players to go from Friday night against Derby, 28k, under the lights, flames and all sorts of shizzle going on...and then 4 days later, playing against Port Vale in front of 10/11k.
Tough game to prepare for, just hope we have a good performance and are mindful of the effect losing two of our best player 'could' have, if the worst happens. |  | | |

For me the quality is plentiful, what we lack are some strikers with real quality

Not sure we could be said to be stuttering. Two tough away games at Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth and disappointing to come away with just one point from winning positions, but otherwise we've been completely on top in all our games and deserved victory. My only concern is that our shooting has been abysmal over the last couple of games.
That doesn't mean that I don't think tonight might not be a frustrating one, particularly if we don't get a goal or two early on. |  |
