This a no brainer surely.... 08:51 - Nov 3 with 4694 viewsTRUE_BLUE123

Always club over country. I would rather Ipswich beat Cheltenham than England win the world cup.

Poll: Will Paul Lambert be Ipswich Town manager on the final day of this season ?

I find both competitions rather distasteful these days but if Ipswich must reach the PL, then I'd like to see us win it. I won't even watch the WC.

cor, fck me, didnt realise it was edgy o'clock

We’ll be good again... one day

There's more chance of Ipswich winning the league 1 and FA Cup double this season then England winning the world cup

You may hate England, but you can get 750/1 about Ipswich winning the FA Cup.

You'd do well to find England bigger than 9/1 for the World Cup.

So no.

I would 'rather' see success for Town than for England, but lets be really honest here.

We'll all be blubbing like little girls if England win the World Cup

I don't see how it's even a question if you're a proper supporter of a club.

Anyone who follows a team at least semi-regularly at home, right through to home and away will surely prefer to see their team win something.

The only people who are saying country have to be the casual fans or plastics that support both Man United and England, for example, from their armchairs and appreciate England success will bring the country together for a party nobody is having if a club side wins in Europe.

Would be fascinated to hear the logic, and stand corrected, if there's anyone here that watches Town regularly that would say otherwise. Only real angle I can see is if you've see Town have success in your lifetime and not England.

Well I watch every town game so surely that is enough to be a "proper supporter" - if it's something big like the FA Cup then I'd prefer to see Town win that than England win the World Cup, but if we're only talking about League One or something like that then I'd rather see England win the World Cup.
