Officials can come from the nations of the playing teams and the French official is making some pretty strange decisions in favour of France (it’s France v England for those who aren’t aware). Good sport - better than normal ruby league 😂

Really enjoyable to watch and great result. Very suspect from the Lino as you said.
Never trust a Frenchie 🤣
I’ve no idea if the have a wheelchair rugby union game, and if so what the difference is. This tournament is the first time I’ve seen the rugby league wheelchair version and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. The boys done good.

Didn’t a poster on here play that to quite a high level?

LiverpoolBlue??
No idea. I’m not even sure who can play it. I had assumed you had to be disabled, but the England coach has just encouraged anyone to try the sport, disabled or able bodied. So god knows what the rules are.

There are no rules by the look of it.
We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub.

I’m not 100% sure of the rules but you don’t have to be a normal wheelchair user for those types of sports, just disabled/para.
I was listening to the radio on my way to the game last weekend and they had Adam Hills, the Aussie guy who hosts the last leg, and he was saying that he was approached by the Paralympic tennis team back a few years ago to see if he was interested in representing Aus at the Paralympics as he was quite good at tennis, they said ideally if he wanted to then he would/should spend as much of his life in a wheelchair to get used to it so it was 2nd nature. He declined because it wasn’t practical as he was just starting to tour
A very good watch and great scenes at the end! There do seem to be two codes for wheelchair rugby as well, with the other being known as murderball sometimes, although I'm not knowledgeable enough to know the difference. I'm pretty sure wheelchair rugby league does allow non-disabled competitors as you mention. Not for the fainthearted!
I really like my rugby league so enjoyed the men's and women's tournament but they do suffer from a lack of competitiveness at the group stage. England's loss to Samoa last weekend was really painful for me, but it was an incredible match and hopefully they can do the Aussies today at 4pm on BBC. Should be good fun! I'd urge anyone with Sky to watch the Super League when it comes back too. It's a fantastic game, very exciting and end to end. I love watching the rugby union internationals, but club rugby league is sensational.
There have been some excellent matches in the last year, but the grand final in 2020 was a real bruiser with an incredible ending, well worth a watch if you've a spare 10 minutes:
