You speculated out loud. I pointed out that, in my experience, there is not a simple link between MND and head injury.
I know at least 4 men who have died from MND. None of them was involved in contact sport that would have had risk of head injuries. My dad never had a head injury in his life.
I never said that you said there was a proven link. I simply pointed out there is no substance to your idle speculation out loud.
The article you link states there is a proven link to intense exercise. That would fit with at least 3 of the 4 cases I know who were regularly involved in intense exercise. It does not mention head injuries. That is your idle speculation only. Sorry for bothering to answer your idle out-loud speculation, though. | |

Also a lovely warm-hearted family man. His three sons have literally been standing by him over the years and I hope they continue the work with his foundation. My heart goes out to them and the rest of the family. |
No finer tribute can be made to the great man than his work to be continued.
Mrs C’s uncle died of it in the late 80s. He would have been in his 50s. It was the first time I’d really heard of it or seen it’s truly awful effects. You wouldn’t wish it on your worst enemy. Let’s hope one day a cure is found. |  | | |

To be fair on them, it is always shining ... just frequently not on us ... or the clouds are in the way. They struggle to realise why we don't see that it is shining. | |
