Cardiff pub bans English fans from watching the game. 07:16 - Nov 29 with 1772 viewstractordownsouth

Without meaning to make myself the subject of a Stewart Lee standup routine, is this legally allowed? Of course it makes sense to have designated home and away pubs in club football but once you start going down the nationality route, does that not come into conflict with the Equality Act?

It’s not personally a pub I visit anyway so it doesn’t affect me in any way but Cardiff is a city with a lot of English people in it so I’m surprised they’ve made this decision…

So an English owned, Irish themed pub in Wales has banned English punters for an England v Wales match...

Scots must be feeling more left out than ever.

It'll be another 50 years until they reach a finals so probably better make the most of the possibilities.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

After getting moderate derision on TWTD, the pub has backed down.

If Scotland are the Norwich City of international football then Wales are Colchester.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Quality effort. They get all the good publicity (As in the locals will be happy) and don't actually have to enforce said ban.

Clever sods those English pub owners.
