No. Surprised it has come out in such a clumsy way though.
By coincidence, Mrs Plums and I were watching the episode of the Crown last night where the Husseys played a role. Whilst it's a drama, she was evidently very close to Her Maj. When the news broke yesterday, I hadn't clicked that she was the widow of the former BBC Chair. When I looked her up, it just lays bare the nepotism and cronyism that pervades British high society.

Susan Katharine Hussey, Baroness Hussey of North Bradley, was born in 1939, the fifth and youngest daughter of the 12th Earl Waldegrave and Mary Hermione, Countess Waldegrave.
She is the sister of former Conservative cabinet minister, William Waldegrave, and her late husband, Marmaduke Hussey, was a former chairman of the BBC.
She has two children - one of whom, daughter Katharine, followed her mother into royal service, and serves as an official companion to Camilla, the Queen Consort.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

No - after all football is just as ´racist’ and where would countries be without politely enquiring where people ‘come from’ so they can proudly represent the land of their granny.

Not at all shocked.

Did the Royals ever opt back into diversity employment laws?! It was reported as recently as 2021 that they were exempt from certain laws.

Apparently it was just an honest mistake, not institutionalised racism and they are all ready lining up David Baddiel as her replacement

Do you think that one person is representative of the views of the entire institution?

Personally I wouldn’t be surprised but I’d like to think that Charles, William and Kate have much different views.

Oh, and abolish the monarchy.
