Points? Bans? Given you don't need a licence to cycle am struggling to see any of these...? (Not been done, just wondering on the legalities of it)

What's the score with drinking and riding? on 21:49 - Jan 9 by Meadowlark | No, I would not drive after any pints, but there is a difference between a car and a bike. There really is. There is a difference also between riding a bike and walking. Is walking home from the pub acceptable in your Brave New World, or are pubs not permitted? |
Walking and pubs are allowed. But cycling on the road after a couple of pints is idiotic.

Would the cyclist be allowed to shout out at the pedestrian or does that count as a noise nuisance in Banksterville?

It is still an offence to be drunk in charge of a pedal cycle. You don't need to be breathtested to commit this offence. It's down to the circumstances - smell of alcohol, manner of riding etc. And then possibly a court to make the final decision. Drunk cyclists are vulnerable. End of
What's the score with drinking and riding? on 22:15 - Jan 9 with 839 views | NorthLondonBlue2 | There is no alcohol limit when riding a bicycle. But, you must be able to demonstrate reasonable control. So, if you can’t control the bicycle through alcohol, you are likely committing an offence.

The madness of King George? Phew.....we can sleep easy.

For info. Bankster (who I have a lot of time for) has one major personality flaw in that he goes full on gammon when he hears cyclists out enjoying a country ride at the weekend. Hence my question around the noise level which is probably a fraction of his hedge cutter :-)

Cycling on mushrooms is way more fun and might even be legal too.

Why would you cycle on mushrooms? Paths are much more suited to two wheelers than fields Bankster.

Lone cyclists are permitted to shout a warning as long as Miss Slave doesn’t hear them.

Shouting about how well you did in The City this week has no discernible benefit, unlike my fabulous hedge cutting skills.

Nope, still happy renters. Spruce objected so we called time on the whole crazy idea. Edit...half the problem is we like it too much here and pay ridiculously low rent comparatively. Junior was born on the living room floor....Home is where the heart is.....for now!! Edit2...you should cycle over sometime. All Town games on tap. Just keep the noise down. Sprucey, a left leaning authoritarian... I wonder what he thinks about person freedoms vs responsibilities for drinking cyclists in rural locations, trying to support rural pubs through hard times but not fancying the walk home... Spruce?
