I think the quality of the experience is going to be somewhat tempered by the game.

Cambridge Beam Back on 09:18 - Feb 6 with 2880 views | iamatractorboy | Arrived about 2.30 and it was a little chaotic, with queues all over the place for the pies and pints. Joined the back of a massive queue but then realised it was better to walk up the far end, shortly after which a helpful steward told us if we wanted a pie to join a very short queue and then come back to queue at bar for drink later on. Ended up eating the pie prior to kick off at seat, then grabbing pint during first 2 or 3 mins of game. Managed to get bonus free pie when leaving after the match as they were giving the leftovers away. As for the game, the less said the better of course, but from our vantage point (seat no's about 30ish), we had a good view as there were two big screens so we weren't far away from one of them. All in all, v good value for 6 quid but probably needs a slight rethink logistically. I suspect a number of people would have given up with the queueing completely.

Similar experience. Grateful to see the game but did not join the queues for the pie and pint as they were too long.
Cambridge Beam Back on 11:00 - Feb 6 with 2606 views | Mark | The beamback at Portman Road was a good idea, and I am grateful they did it not for profit. The queues at the bars were so long however that I, and many people, could not get anywhere near the front despite queueing for nearly half an hour before kick off and all half time. Bars were closed at full time so we didn't get our pie and pints. The loud announcement "we hope you had a fantastic time!" was rather ill-judged given the result. I hope they do a beamback again, just needs to be organised a bit better.
Cambridge Beam Back on 11:07 - Feb 6 with 2566 views | CityBlue | I was interested in the quality and size of image. I remember the charlton play off game beamed back many years ago when we all sat in the "Pinoeer" stand

Cambridge Beam Back on 19:26 - Feb 8 with 2029 views | stevieiriswattii | Bearing in mind the high standards set by the club, this was unfortunately below what we now expect. As already said, long queues, so was encouraged to try later. Spend 1/6 of the match queuing later on, only to get to the kiosk and nothing veggie available. Not the end of the world, but also not as advertised. It was also hard work to sit down for 90 mins!! Not sure I would do that again.

Could you have gone for a stroll around during half time. Genuine question.
Cambridge Beam Back on 19:41 - Feb 8 with 1953 views | LowroadBlue | Good value for money. My only issue was how the two screens had been positioned. When you chose your seat on line it appeared both screens would be at each end of the pitch with a gap for the middle section of seats. However both screens were positioned to the left hand side of the pitch, meaning fans who chose the seats in the right hand block did not have a great view of the nearest screen. Luckily my seat was on the left hand side of the block, fans who were seated on the right side of the block would not have seen the screen very good. I went home with a neck ache with having to look at the screen from an angle. I spoke to several fans who were in the end block and they also complained about not having the view their seat showed on line. Hopefully the club will learn from this as it was a great idea.
Cambridge Beam Back on 20:07 - Feb 8 with 1879 views | monty_radio | Much of what's been said common to all. I queued till the lure of a game starting proved too strong, and I abandoned the wait. Conceding the predicatable goal out of nowhere sent me and many others scrabbling towards the suspended promise of the pie, ensuring that I didn't witness the Edmundson tackle. But still, the queue managed suddenly to bunch up in front of the staircase so that the penalty save was seen by many from the depths below. Three screens would have been better than two in that views from the side weren't great. While I don't usually mind the i-Follow commentary it seemed to jar with the experience of actually being together in the stadium with a large number of fans and looking down towards the hallowed turf, while stats about how many previous appearances the latest sub had made were being burbled out. I would have preferred no commentary, leaving us to create our own atmosphere. So, bit of a hybrid experience which, if increased service had been added to the promise on offer, would have made a good deal much better.

My biggest gripe was that there appeared to be no veggie pies. If there were then they must have gone very quickly and been too few. I had to sit watching my mate eat two steak pies (plus a third freebie on the way out) whilst I chewed gum. It's a tragic reality for me that I'd been looking forward to that pie all week! All in all, really good value at £6 though. Hopefully the first of many.

I was offered a Kit Kat instead. I tried for a packet of crisps too but told I was pushing it - in jest.
