Our Manager 10:30 - Feb 12 with 5308 views | Wickets | I'm fully behind our young inexperienced manager as most are i'm sure but i just read another poster saying he is under performing relative to the budget he has been given . Third in the league to two very good sides is that correct . We are inconsistent and draws are costing us , what do others feel ?

Our Manager on 17:05 - Feb 12 by BigCommon | Ahadme broke his foot, Hirst is on loan, Harness has been pretty good imo. And Keogh was signed to add some experience, not play week in week out.. KM, is improving, in that he is learning all the time. His in game changes are generally good. Most people with a brain, would realise that when he was appointed, we were going to witness some short term short comings , from a young inexperienced manager.. I'm happy with what I'm seeing from him. You try to make out we are going backwards..Imo, we have stepped a long way forwards in the year he has been here. I hope he's here for a good few years yet. He coaches a style of football that I absolutely love watching.. |
Our manager is improving yet somehow the team gets worse month by month, isn’t that weird.

Our Manager on 09:02 - Feb 13 with 858 views | CityBlue | 1. this may be his first gig as the gaffer but inexperienced would be wrong. He has had to manage players with amazing talent and equally large salaries and egos when he was first team assistant at Man Utd. 2. Inconsistency is true but it seems every team we face treats it like a cup final and what we really need is no more nice guy, but K McK doesnt want us to enter into a scrap but rather fight clever. Patience is the key and not sure there are many managers that will have the longevity that he will have. Darren Moore seemed bereft of any real knowledgeable comments on the post match and I know Schumacher will struggle to develop his own talent 0- they are afterall the loan kings. The club and team that Ashton/McKenna are building will be the force to be reckoned with and if it takes two more years well so be it as we will once again be the pride of Anglia. Saturday, first ha;f, was the first time that there was a noticeable breakdown between player relationships and also a noricable vocal discontent from the fans. I feel we are still "carrying" a number of players and would love to have seen McGuinness brought in. Have the belief and keep the faith.

Our Manager on 10:30 - Feb 13 with 834 views | BlueBlood90 | I'm fully behind McKenna but we haven't won a Saturday 3pm game since the beginning of October. That is simply not good enough considering we're now into mid February. Despite our recent poor form, I don't understand why there can't be a middle ground between the people who either worship McKenna or the (very small) minority who want him sacked. I think it's fine to expect better but without going over the top.

Month by month, week by week, day by day, hour by hour.. There you go, a few more meaningless timescales to suit your miserable agender.... I'll judge him over the season, minimum..Right now we are miles ahead of last season. We have plenty to play for, yet. This time last year our season was pretty much over. By the looks of things this season, it will go to the wire. That's progress.. You seem to have thrown in the towel, already. Isn't that weird?

McKenna may or may not be a good coach/manager. He sounds sensible in press bollox but his constant churn of players , aka rotation - seems bewildering at times. I’m not entirely sure inserting three show ponies who will be earning vastly more than the rest of the squad will be entirely beneficial for team harmony either. The thing that intrigues me is that it now appears likely that the club will finish behind Bolton and Derby this season. Given the resources flung at Town from every angle, this seems extraordinary. That’s not McKenna’s fault of course - but it does reflect an obsession with the future - rather than focussing on the here and now.
