I know you realise it is about maximum disruption to cause maximum effect to get those who can really make a difference to feel the pressure to do something. I wonder if their campaign to disrupt sporting events will stretch to football over the next week or so. Not sure anybody would notice the difference from their own fans if it was at Hillsborough, though. |
Of all sports, Snooker? Think they missed the mark. Mark Allen didn't miss the mark, he was potting for fun. Watch out Tiddlywinks world championships

A friend had his lease cut early by them and received a threatening letter to return the car in x days. The electric car stuff is a funny one - yes they are cleaner when in use however the production (mining) and destruction of the batteries is a fairly filthy business. That said I'm not sure the western world really cares as that part isn't done in their backyard. |
Was looking for a car about a year ago, glad I didn't go with them in that case. Can't be very convenient to have to unexpectedly return your car at short notice. However, your car developing an MOT test failing fault a week before your MOT is due and the part to fix it likely not being available for over a week isn't hugely convenient either. With the warranty to cover the cost about to expire, and the dealer you have to take it to in order to qualify under the warranty being absolute muppets don't help either.

Here are a few snippets from BBC stories in the last year or so: the idea of swapping batteries, rather than charging them, is extraordinary. "Nearly a quarter of all cars newly registered in China are now electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles, meaning that the country is ahead of Europe and well ahead of the US in adoption of these technologies. Half the world's EVs are sold in China." "A budget electric vehicle (EV) selling in China for $4,500 (£3,200) is now outselling Tesla's more upmarket cars." "If you want to understand how governments can fuel the rise of new technologies, look no further than the taxi fleets of Beijing. Five years ago, the city revealed plans to ban the introduction of fossil fuel-powered taxis. Today, thousands of the cars run on batteries instead. And the drivers of these electric vehicles (EVs) don't have to worry about wasting time at charging stations, either. Many electric taxis in Beijing, and dozens of other Chinese cities, just go to a battery-swapping station where a machine plucks out the depleted battery and installs a charged one in mere minutes."
