Having read through replies to my previous post I was quite upset at some of the responses and would like to point out that on this platform we should have the right to voice our opinions about players connected to the club. When it comes to piggot I have been watching him for years and was always very impressed with him and was delighted when we signed him. We never gave him a run of games or a chance to prove himself. As I say I can see him linking up with other members of the squad both on the pitch and socially in a bar maybe on the waterfront and if he does that he will feel more of a part of the team and that will bode well for him, it is a shame to let him go before he had the chance to do that this summer I for one hope he hangs about |  | | |  |

He’ll be gone. Why would we keep him? He wasn’t part of McKenna’s plans in League 1, so certainly won’t be in a higher league. That’s just the way it is. Nothing personal, but he won’t be the last to not be what we were looking for. |

It's not subtle but I must say, it's unfair you're being harangued as an inept comedy creation. There have been far worse.
Anyway to answer your question, Piggers never looked like he could move let alone hit a ton of goals in our team. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, injury, confidence, family bereavement etc. can be cited instead of him being "crap" or whatever. However, if you think he can thrive in the Championship (cos that's what we need from our strikers now) in any team I respectfully disagree, and we shall see who turns out correct as you continue to follow his career. Nothing but good wishes to him, and good luck to the lad. |  |

Don't think Hate is the right word we sign players hoping they will be successful some don't make the impact we had hopped for Piggott is one of these players and for me forget the hard work as it should be a given I just don't see anything in Jackson and hope his gone and replaced with better before the new season begins it's not personal I just don't rate him over a season. | | | |
