Troy Parrott 10:45 - Jul 2 with 5689 views | Nutkins_Return | He is desperate to still have a future at Spurs but I think he's going to struggle with that even if Kane moves on. He didn't score enough goals in the champ last season but I actually think he needs a home somewhere and at 21 I think he should be someone we look at. Him and 1 other of course. Fits the profile for the role up front. A bit like Hirst in that he has to score more consistently but he has a high ceiling in terms of where he can get to. I'd like to see us get him perm and under McKenna he could flourish.

Troy Parrott on 10:21 - Jul 3 by TRUE_BLUE123 | I thought he was the stand out striker I saw against us throughout our time in league one. 6 goals against us in 3 seasons. Opinions I guess, but I think he caused our defenders a lot of problems throughout our time in that division. Im also not advocating us signing him but was much better vs us than Aaron Collins was, is the point I was making. [Post edited 3 Jul 2023 10:22]

agreed, thought he occupied our defenders certainly at PR last season.

Troy Parrott on 13:17 - Jul 3 by LankHenners | Weird and unnecessary passive aggression aside, there's not a chance he got close to scoring 10 penalties last season. He might have scored about 10 in his career but still that's not loads really. Whichever way you slice it, he's got a decent record of scoring against us and has almost always been a thorn in our side whenever we've faced him. If he were in our team he'd probably have a similar impact/output to Ladapo. |
Ok not 10, but it was 7 in the league so closer to 10 than you might think

Don't know where you've got 7 from as I've checked 3 different sites that all say it was 5 so not particularly close to 10.

Troy Parrott on 08:40 - Jul 3 by itfcjoe | He's someone I could see in the TJJ role from last season - i.e. can play as a 9 or a 10 so offers you enough cover so not totally reliant on not getting an injury to one of the 2 number 9s we can carry. But I don't think he did himself any favours here last time around, and people will remember that His finishing is atrocious as well, so expect him to be down the list - I'd much rather us go after a Dane Scarlett if getting someone from Spurs |
Pretty fair summary. Scarlett having a relatively disappointing loan again weirdly helpful. But clearly very very talented. Wouldnt want a loan though and I don't think they would sell. I think every facet of the club has changed since Troy was here so I don't think that would have an impact. Agree a ? On his finishing. Again though if he was finished article we would have no chance as he has a lot of quality attributes.

Fair enough. It was 7 for the season but didn’t realise it had included 2 from the FA cup v MK DONS. Still it’s only my opinion so it matters not one bit but just don’t think Colby Bishop would be any improvement on a player like Ladapo. I only made the comment in response to that fact I really didn’t think he had terrorised us at all in either game.
