Things continue to go well at Sheff Weds 13:20 - Jul 13 with 6571 viewsIllinoisblue

This from owlstalk on their owner:

The main takeaway is that

1) the club is apparently going to lose £30million this year
2) Chansiri has no plan regarding how to address this

But also there is a lot of stuff about things like how Chansiri considered the 'Brentford' approach of actually making a profit from transfer dealings, but rejected it as too expensive. Also he doesn't think it is worthwhile trying to attract kids to watch because they all just like the Premiership anyway, and he would do away with season tickets if he could because he just wants to charge everyone a different amount based on how well the team is doing on the pitch. Apparently this last bit is the reason for all the different categories, incidentally - he's going to charge more if we are towards the top of the table.

Our fearless leader is the greatest. Sure he got 11 holes in one at golf.
But yes he’s a total c___k. Definitely relegation material 😩

Nah I think you'll be alright. There seems to be some spawn karma going your way, for reasons I can't really fathom if I'm honest :)

It absolutely doesn’t.

My wife - former ST holder and Owls member for years - isn’t renewing this season after listening to the fans forum with Chansiri.

He apparently also said that no matter how full it is they can’t sell any more food or drink as they are at capacity for their current staffing levels and he won’t employ anyone else on that side of the business:

Ask them if they ever got punished for throwing missiles at the assistant ref.

Oh yes.

He (according to my wife, I’ve not listened) said that him and his team read all negative social media about him and look up how many tickets that person has bought, and makes notes on their customer database.

Or something like that, I tend to switch off she is talking. She may have just been asking me to take the bins out.

For the record - at 5 a side tonight they were quite downbeat and expecting a really tough season.

Tried to take the pi55 ref the Hirst signing but I think the backstory runs deeper than we know perhaps. Apparently will fail on the champ etc etc

Apparently they’re expecting some sort of angst and fight against Chansiri - some sort of demonstration expected. Ticket prices etc a mess

Long may it continue

However much I still have a dislike for Wednesday (their constant moaning, throwing stuff and the Burns issue), I have to say I feel sorry for them as a fan base. Chansiri is running the club into the ground. The ticket prices are shocking and out of reach of many and as for their ten year season ticket which can run to £8k but you have to pay by BaCS, cheque or cash (!!!! - like we all have £8k in cash!).
Thank goodness for our owners.

But they do have Bannan!

IIRC if you pay via credit card, then the credit card company only releases the money to the club in monthly instalments. It prevents clubs from blowing their season ticket money before they play all their matches.

This has administration written all over it.

We’re not allowed to talk about them according to some on here and we have to wish them well.

On paper it feels like we could be aiming our attention a bit more ambitiously now I hope we're chatting more about Boro and co. by the halfway point or I'm not sure I'll be able to look at the table!

That would be awful! I'm waiting to see the sights of streams of fans queuing up with wheelbarrows full of £10 notes
