I know someone who supports Stoke. I was at a pub with a few mates and then "Hey. It's Chris. Over here Chris" Starting a conversation I asked Chris who he supported. "hmmpfh" Sorry mate didn't catch that. "Stoke" Silence. I'm so sorry...commiserations.....but why? "I used to live there" Oh mate, that's the worst. "I live here now so it's not all bad" True.

That is amazing. Wonder if they’re the only ones.

He’s probably at the open day right now looking for the recruitment team and demanding answers.

I lived in Stoke in the mid 90s while I was at Staffs Uni. I actually quite enjoyed it in a down-to-earth (almost) northern kind of way.

I'm sure we haven't helped that. We used to always seem to do Stoke by 5 goals in the 80s.

Took the train to Stoke in the late 80’s for an open day when I was trying to decide on uni. As I was leaving the train station it was cold, wet, dirty and so, so grey. I turned round, sat on the platform and waited for the train back to Ipswich. I’d seen enough.
