I haven't done a Town TV post 07:38 - Aug 9 with 1188 viewsThe_Flashing_Smile

What are people thinking of it so far (I mean the content rather than the sign in problems)? Worth it? I watched the Sunderland game and couldn't really tell much difference from iFollow. No pre-match build-up, very little after-match chat. Or was that because it was on Sky so they didn't bother?

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Personally I think it’s a bit light on content generally at the moment but given it’s starting from scratch that is probably to be expected.

It's early days, I think it's a significant step-up in production values.. on 09:11 - Aug 9 with 1061 viewsunstableblue

... but I don't think it really clicks into gear until Saturday

The new studio looks very professional.

The camera and lighting set-up has nothced up a gear.

I think the best test so far was the Innsbruk pitchside with a professional presenter and Holland (whi is normally on TalkSport) - that was good I thought. Other content such as the Morsy interview were excellent.

I also think the Podcast/Vid is a huge step-up, with a top end Five Live presenter.

But Saturday is when the studio and main presenter kick-in.

How many people will actually watch the build-up Saturday given a sell-out Portman Road (assume it will be beamed to the main screen, concourse screens and fan zone) remains to be seen.

I think it was the right move to do free-to-air of the Ashton/McKenna interview, again very well comered by Holland.

I do think they are missing a trick on some content, as per whereas is the in-depth review of the pitch rebuild and stadie upgrade? thats low hanging fruit.

But overall well worth £5 a month so far.. and its not really got going. So yeah, worth it.

Poll: How do you rate the new home kit out of 5?

I suspect you’re right in which case if you’re going to the game you’re not going to benefit - if the pre match is on at the ground you won’t need a subscription anyway.

I only signed up because my son was desperate for the content. I’ll see how much he actually watches before I decide whether to continue with it.

Think it all looks good/promising but most disappointing thing given we now control the coverage is it's still such low fidelity on the match coverage. Most streaming is now at 50/60fps or higher but it seems town TV is 30fps or lower and it makes for a poor quality of picture.

It’s a god send to me being an overseas fan. Hoping the pre match stuff is decent as will watch the build up also. Disappointing is the cost compared to ifollow and could end up paying twice as much as ifollow cost for a lot less games if we get selected regularly with the new sky deal. Money goes into the club though so I will pay it.
Podcast is decent and I like that you could watch the entire press conference yesterday, hope they stick with that
