yes but actually better for me as you can cast it to a tv / big screen. I use a Chromecast. Saves messing about with lots of leads.

I was casting with a Chromecast as well. Had a couple of minor issues. Four or five times during the game it cut out and went back to my phone. Almost immediately righted itself and reappeared on the TV again but was annoying. I also had a number of momentary screen freezes during the match.
Hopefully this won't be ongoing.

Interesting. I am not a subscriber, and don't intend to be, but was able to buy a Town TV video pass for the Sunderland game on a day trip to Switzerland.
Maybe it was not being a subscriber than enabled me to do that.
Having said that, I was not able to buy an audio pass for the Bristol Rovers game, which was only available to subscribers. Instead, I bought a £2.50 Bristol Rovers I-follow pass. |  | | |

The Stoke match is still showing as available for £10 "from" Switzerland, so presumably QPR will appear at some point.

I airplayed from my iPhone to the Apple TV plugged into my TV - worked perfectly, no delay on commentary and I was able to do anything else on my phone with the app in the background.
Only time I've ever had an issue with AirPlay from phone has been to the built in AirPlay feature on a SmartTV (my Dad has one). Always works fine to the AppleTV box I have at home. | | | |
