Parking 07:54 - Aug 25 with 1750 viewsslade1

Hi everyone.
I’m asking for a mate.
My mate has somehow managed to get tickets for tomorrow’s game.
He will be making a day of it and getting to Ipswich around 11am.
He’s asking if anyone knows of anywhere he can park thats between the town and the ground.
He’d rather have road parking and not a car park if possible.
Thanks all.

Street parking between the ground and town centre is pretty much non existent. Assuming he wants free parking you are looking at a 15 to 20 minute walk on/near any of the routes into town.

If he's happy to pay, the train station car park is pretty close. Arrive at 11 and get a spot near the exit and you'll be fine. Away from the exit and you could be queuing for 45 mins to get out.

Two wheels and/or a blue badge will give you lots of options near the ground.

Will be a walk if he wants road parking and not get a ticket.

Hadleigh road, hawthorn drive… both 15min walk to the ground, and a bit further to Town

We’ll be good again... one day

Philip Road area.

Graham Road area.

Or as Texters says, Hawthorne Drive area, can always hop on the number 13 bus into town.

Philip Road and a couple of the other roads in the vicinity are now resident permit parking only Monday-Saturday up until (I think) 6.00 pm
Rectory Road isn't and if they get there around 11 am there may be spaces.

Ah really, haven’t been up that way for a while tbf. Even before that getting a space was very lucky.

I find the Park and Ride facility at Copdock Mill is the best bet. Yes there is a small charge but with the new bus lane in West End Road you can get back quicker than before. The bus stops are very close to the ground (both ways) and convenient for pre match drinks and meals in Central Ipswich.
