Noticed something going on after they scored their fourth. Were they causing trouble or did they just jump up /cheer when Leeds scored? Given the fuss I could see some Ipswich supporters making with their protesting and gesticulating at the stewards I’m assuming it was the former.

Poll: Most enjoyable calendar year as an Ipswich supporter

I was sat in front of them. First half they were told to tone it down a bit. They were sat next to an elderly lady & a young girl in front of them. Their language was disgraceful (& I am no prude trust me). They had a few more beers at half time & when they scored they lost it, calling everyone f*****g c***s, wanting to fight people, the little girl was pulled out in tears, the old lady was jostled out of her seat. An elderly guy a few seats away was pushed out of his seat. The stewards should have had them out much earlier. Absolute total 🔔 ➡️. Also had 2 Leeds fans near us who were good as gold & great lads & were disgusted with them. Johnny Wark sat in front of us & he literally kicks every ball. Legend.

Had they bought a dinner package as their allocation had sold out? Simple way of getting tickets, but should be looked at.

This is much closer to what actually happened, what you omitted was the fact that 3 Ipswich supporters completely lost it and had they not been forcibly stopped by police and stewards from getting to the Leeds supporters, serious trouble would have ensued. In any event, it was horrible to see a mother and her two small children fleeing the scene, frightened and in tears. These were all men in their 40's who really need to grow up.

Absolutely, then if you get up and celebrate there are no excuses when you get thrown out. A few times in the home crowd for Ipswich games - one being in the old shed at Chelsea when I think Chris Kiwomya scored (or at least I remember him celebrating in front of the Chelsea fans) where I kept very quiet.

I was also stood on the Shed for that match with a Chelsea supporting friend. As all good mates would, I think he did his best to 'out me' as an Ipswich fan when Kywomya scored!! I've also been in the Norwich end for a derby game. I certainly wasn't daft enough to celebrate Darren Bent's winner. The only hassle I got was from the Police when I tried to break ranks from the Ipswich fans as we arrived at Norwich station.

Yes agreed. I was ushered out of the way by the Policeman when the Ipswich fans started coming up the steps. One in particular was off his trolley & was hauled out too.

I was in hospitality for the first time and they were on my table (although we were sat in a different area). Had a good chat with them at half time but they'd had a skinful before the game.

Poll: How many points do you think you'll need to get a ticket for Norwich?

That’s awful and needs reporting to the club. It’s not acceptable.

For ‘sensitive’ fixtures, one whiff of a problem or even language they should be hoiked out. If the stewards are not trained to do it the club should pay for a team of people that can.

I’d add that if those Leeds fans were sitting in season ticket holders’ seats, those season ticket holders should lose those seats.

There is the thought that when we are in the PL, some of our ST's will be tempted to sell on their tickets to away fans. Plastics living in Suffolk..

I remember a Fulham fan telling me about how it was noticed that two seats were not occupied by the same fans each game. It turned out the ST holder had been selling them to an agent. On one occasion the two 'fans' were questioned and they were from Norway on a weekend deal, to watch Man Utd. They were not thrown out, by the ST holder had his ST cancelled (No refund).

When games don't sell out and any away fans in home areas are respectful, then fine. When tickets are on open sale then it is probably acceptable. What will not be is if Town ST holders choose to accept money for their seats from some away fan from a 'big' club.

The club needs to clarify their position on this matter, sooner rather than later, as we are now selling out and looking to do so for the season.

Unwritten rule, isn’t it? If you’re an away fan in the home end, sit down and be quiet.

I was sitting in the home end at White Hart Lane when we played them in Dec 2001? We were miserably bottom of the league with about one win all season. When Finidi equalised just before half time I jumped up and did a massive celebration before remembering where I was and sat down. The spurs fans all around cheered me and told me to celebrate as much as I liked because we hadn’t had much to cheer about that season. And it was just before Christmas!

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?
