Thinking about reading… It’s really frustrating when I read read as read and not read, so I have to re-read read as read so I can read read correctly and it can make sense…

Does anyone else find this?

Yes. Every time I drive past the sign on the M4 saying Reading services, I read it as reading services, think to myself what is that all about and then my brain twigs what it actually is saying.

There used to be a sign post on the A12 south of chelmsford for a village called Opening but I could never find that on the map

assumed it was a mythical place like Brigadoon or the Norwich City Trophy Cabinet

I am ashamed to admit I thought they played in RED well into my late teens, when I saw the blue i was quite surprised.
Contrary buggggers would have played red if they had become them Thames Valley Royals innit

False hoops.

One of the occasions Reading played QPR at Loftus Rd and the home fans chanted, "You're not fit to wear the hoops".

I would not give you false hoops ...
