Seen Nodge signed Danny Batth on a free 09:32 - Sep 2 with 2586 views | Jimmy86 | Whilst not necessarily a CB who would fit our system or style of play you have to say that's a solid signing, A seasoned pro and Championship experience a bundle... Still Batth has signed for that shower... see what I did there?

A bit like a few of their signings, hard to know how they'll hold up over a season with so many of them in the squad. Will be interesting to see how close to mid table they end up looking at the competition.

They look quite good so far, which is disappointing to say Sergeant being out for a while can't be ideal for them, their academy seems to be doing a decent job on the transfer side of things They really have to get promoted in the next two or three seasons or it's a very long way back, as well we know

So do we, but do we really expect a 75% points haul every month? They should be light years ahead of us given the level of parachute payments they've been handed for failure. I'm less worried about them, but the fact so many clubs seem to be gunning FFP alongside the big three spenders is an unexpected turn. Would be typical that ITFC are on the wrong side of financial bubbles in the second tier yet again!

They will have to play deep as no pace at the back ,but a reasonable signing I didn't know it happened and the lad to Forest 11 million I guess also add ons or may be inclusive of add ons.

Achievable add ons take it to 20m. They recruited very well and have been the best side in the league thus far statistically. 1 or 2 injuries may hamper them though you'd guess. Sargent with a significant injury last week

FFP has always seemed to be a light touch and an excuse for Evans over the years It seems to have got tougher in more recent years with transfer embargos etc but they have never been brave enough to consider points deductions In a case such as Bournemouth, being fined in the Premier League is too late but you have to wait to see the accounts before you can act, there's no easy way around that

I'm very worried by them! Completely dismantled Millwall a few weeks back. They've recruited well. Worst case next summer they'll be selling Sara for 25-30m, Sargent and how much is Rowe worth these days? We've still got a fair way to go before we're on their level financially

Love that Arnie! Actually did make me laugh out loud! FFP seems to be a bit of an issue, as it doesn't matter a jot that we have owners with deep pockets... so we either follow FFP, or take a measured risk and say sod it.. as someone mentioned regarding Bournemouth, they received the fine whilst they were in the premier League.. was small change then..
Seen Nodge signed Danny Batth on a free on 11:14 - Sep 2 with 2019 views | Stu_boy | An interesting summer it seems for them, lost a lot of quality and youth in omabidele and aarons in addition to byram, dowell, pukki and teplaced with experienced seasonal campaigners. If it doesn't work this yr or next, they'll have a massive rebuilding task which would inevitably mean sacrificing the likes of sara and rowe to generate funds

Certainly with Duffy and Batth at CB they have experience in there, along with Hanley who's already there... I mean again, they wouldn't be able to play our system and whilst it's good watching our boys try to play out from the back and sometimes out of trouble, in the championship we'd be more likely to be found out for doing that... KMck has got us playing brilliantly and has drilled every player, who knows their job... even our defenders are all comfortable in possession, just wouldn't want to be picked off too many times at the back

Wagner is a fairly functional manager from memory, I can't imagine he wants his defence being overly flashy I assume he likes to press hard and pick teams off?

Huddersfield under Wagner Def pressed well didn't they, the old Gegenpress started by Klopp.. I sometimes wonder whether it's good to have the ability to mix it up and have a more functional defender who can play a bit, but clear the ball, when needed.. the first goal against Leeds, was down to us allowing the lad into our box, which causes a big problem, as have to then get it right to avoid a pen etc... we had the opportunity to put a challenge in and didn't... Playing around at the back is great to watch and we seem comfortable doing it, but against better teams we might get picked off at some point, when doing it.. I'd rather watch us now compared to the direct nature under dear old Mick, that's for sure
