Saturday's referee 18:51 - Oct 6 with 1531 viewsPaul

David Webb, from Lancashire. Not preempting anything or trying to get a repeat of last season, but do we know anything about him given we are playing a team from Lancashire?

Cheers. It was just based on what I read in Phil's match preview:

"Saturday’s referee is David Webb from Lancashire, who has shown 33 yellow cards and one red in eight games so far this season."

Looking around, he seems to be down as a Lancashire-based official and County Durham in equal measure. May well have moved from one to the other at some point.

Was awful in the Leeds v Qpr game this week, he’s the ref who sent off Begovic .
The below is from the Loft for Words match review of the game , ( funny as always if u want a laugh this morning)

The below is their review of him.

Referee – David Webb (Durham) 3 With the money washing around the sport in this country - which could be used for handsome pay packets, recruitment drives and training to grow the talent pool of officials - it is disgraceful that gormless 4ft pissmonkeys like this are officiating as high as the second tier. This is the best we’ve got is it? This guy? This guy?

Aha, so he won't want to send off anybody today, not even this fixture's bloke-who-scythes-down-Omari-Hutchinson-when-in-on-goal?

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

I bet we get him next year when we are playing Chelsea...

Poll: How will we get fourteen points from the last five games ?
