Tax 18:33 - Oct 8 with 1655 viewsgtsb1966

Just ordered a takeaway, about a mile from me, and my money is being diverted through Jersey. I have no knowledge of how finance works but how can this be legal.

Have you used a deliveroo type thing? If so, you haven't ordered a takeaway from the restaurant - you've ordered it from a middle man (like deliveroo) who can be based where ever they want.

They will then order it from the restaurant - your agreement/purchase is with them not with the restaurant.

A bit late for a plate of Jersey Royals (they’re very nice in the spring though).

Globalisation innit. Most Amazon transactions go through Spain (maybe all, I’ve never really paid much attention).

Theoretically if the beneficial owner of the company is offshore, using a Jersey bank is fine, Jersey is signed up to CRS, however the chances of an offshore company owning a Cornard kebab shop seems unlikely!
I lived in Cornard for years, Where's the Kebab shop? I'm assuming where the old top shops were

You are correct. The old shops were torn down and rebuilt. The Kebab shop is opposite Cherry Tree Road turning. I live near the Brook pub.

We all need to start ordering directly via the restaurants again instead of using the lazy convenience of 3rd party apps. It’s better for the business at the very least.

Lived on Bures Road and Kings Hill for about 15 years combined, wish they had a kebab when I lived there!
