In my lifetime, he's possibly going on to be the best English player i've ever seen, whilst it's early days... how does he in your opinion compare with past greats...

Sorry, what? Rooney?? He was genuinely world class through his mid 20's.

Rooney and Owen from 18 to mid 20s were unplayable.

Both world class.

Gazza in the few years he was properly fit was another world class player and there haven't been many in my lifetime.

Scholes, Beckham, Shearer, Rio, Stevie G, Ashley Cole and Harry Kane has to get a mention, seeing him play the other night with Bellingham really made me have another think on his overall game, powerful, scores, can ping a ball cross pitch, awareness....perhaps doesn't look as 'silky' as a Bellingham, but still a hell of a player.

Bellingham looks the real deal though doesn't he?

Bit early to get that excited? Rooney and Owen were never as good as adults as they were as teenagers.

He’s level headed and has now had a couple of very good games for England and is doing astonishingly well at Real Madrid for erm 8 games.

But he’s got to do more than that for a decade to be mentioned in the same breath Bobby Charlton

Have you ever considered calling a Help Line ?

Rooney was an absolute joke of a footballer. He was a genuine generational talent, obviously burst on to the scene at a young age at Everton but his career at United was ridiculous really, year in, year out. I saw him playing once in Everton's academy, he was about 14 and already playing 2 years above his age but still looked like a man against boys. Absolutely frighteningly good, quick and strong, aggressive, think he scored 2 that day. The only performance at that age I've ever seen to get close to it was actually a player who later played for Ipswich. Steven Taylor for Newcastle, again must've been 13/14 and I had never seen anything like it or probably since. I thought I was watching the next Tony Adams or Terry Butcher (who was before my time). Obviously had a decent career but never hit those heights, although I guess unlike Adams he did reach the pinnacle of playing for Town :)

Bellingham's filthy. Genuine potential to not just be a top player but to be 'the' top player in his position. By the time the 2026 world cup rolls around, injuries permitting, he could well be the best player there.

Generational talent gets thrown around a lot, Bellingham is one though.

A new breed of footballer possessing pace and power to go alongside the technical attributes to play any position and any role. Perhaps more importantly he has a truly elite attitude, he believes he can be the best. You can see this in the way he commands more from everyone around him, even the fans are told to give more.

In my time, Rooney in 04 was the closest we have had to this however I expect Bellingham to do this for the next decade. When all is said and done, having won England at least 1 trophy, he will up there with the very best if not the best.
