That they can highlight these things is a cause for concern. The UK is regressing democratically and has long-standing weaknesses that it chooses not to address. |  |

Maybe for the same reason you highlight when something outrageous is claimed too?

It seems like quite a claim given their record, but then it’s hard to deny our slide towards authoritarianism (and it would be deeper and quicker if not for some checks and balances on the govt).
Is this claim quoted anywhere? I can’t find reference to it in the news. It’d be handy to see exactly what was said and in what context, etc. |  |
