From the chats I have had in the past week, Ipswich doesn’t deserve to be promoted because we’ve not prepared enough for the Premier League and not invested read money in the club. Because they can’t name a single player we have bar the ones that played for them, and nobody cost over 5 million pounds to buy we don’t deserve it and are simply lucky? Apparently we didn’t lay a glove on Leicester until added on time and we didn’t have the ball until we scored.
Modern fan logic is, unless you spend millions and your squad is made up of 80% imports you aren’t even a real team. It’s a sad state isn’t it? When we have done so well given what we’ve spent all we get is Sky openly mocking us game on game and a narrative that this is all just an accident. The media wants McKenna to leave us for the merry go round and for us to return to League One where we belong in their eyes as soon as possible. How dare we challenge the Parachute teams and do something different to what they want!
I always knew Leeds supporters were unhinged but Leicester fans have become an entitled bunch since their title win and FA Cup, which by the way neither sets of supporters seem to know we’ve won either! If we finished above either of them they will have a tantrum! |  | | |  |

Quite honestly who cares?
We have this weird thing where we see daily on here absolute nonsense posts from town fans but once an opinion comes from a supporter of another club we suddenly give it credence like it’s in any way more reliable.
See Ashton views from salty Bristol city fans as a good example.
The fact is we are where we are in the league on merit. I’m sure some Leeds and Leicester supporters feel entitled having been in the premier league and with expensive squads, I dare say they know nothing of a club that has spent the past 4 years in L1. Why would they? We just need to keep on doing our thing and they should focus their attentions on getting a point or 3 off the likes of Preston. |  | | |

Not sure that’s true. Both have experienced life in the nether regions recently and only Leeds think they’re ’back where they belong’ if they are in the top division. I had the joy of watching the Leeds game with a couple of expat Leeds supporters and whilst they rather mistakenly assume Leeds will finish above Town they were highly complimentary about Town from what they’d seen before the game and somewhat surprised how useless ‘we’ were.
We already know Leeds, Southampton and Leicester are not good enough for the Prem - somehow I doubt Town are either. | |

I haven't seen much like that from Leicester fans TBH, but they can afford to be generous towards us since they are so far ahead.
Leeds fans however, are the worst. I really, really want them to miss out on promotion. If they draw Nodge in the playoffs I'm not sure who I would support. |  |

Whether we deserve it or not doesn't make one iota. What I would say however is that we aren't ready. Yes, we drew against Leicester and got well beaten by Leeds due to individual errors. I do think however that we need another half dozen players to make us competitive in the Premier League. We are short of quality in defence, midfield and forward line and I cannot see us getting that amount of players in should we get promoted, by next season. | | | |
