Reference Stansfield
His name has been let out the bag on purpose by those who no the real targets whilst everyone's attention is focused on Stansfield we will be dealing elsewhere it's the Ashton way. First thing we will know will be a Phil headline with imminent the headline .The Evans days are over players in the building then they escape without signing.

Like a Penny in a basement you mean?

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

I’m not sure that many people on here are wetting their pants about transfer targets. After many years of bargain basement signings it’s still refreshing to be linked to good young players.

Think people are just overly excited rather than anything else.

I think there was an interest, but we have moved on as lets be frank, Brum are a mess.

I don't think Ashton has the time to make up fake transfer targets to confuse fan forums. I think they have a lot of these players profiled well in advance, over a year it would seem, and look at who they can, and can't, realistically bring in meeting those profiles. We know we had tabs on Clarke, Broadhead, Hirst and co. long before they finally came in, most recently with the two loanees as well in the midfield.

Adam Armstrong was one we were linked with continually and Ellis Simms, both didn't come in but if there was an opportunity to do business I would expect we would there too.

Talking of Ellis Simms, I've watched a bit of Coventry the last couple of games and he's really looking good now, and like a player who would have been perfect for us. Very Hirst like.

As backup if we can't entice Gwion Edwards back?

He would have done better in our side than theirs, but they are starting to improve a bit too so who knows they could be a late player in the Playoff drama come seasons end.

Adam Armstrong would have been a next level signing in the Championship, but too pricey for us this season, however in the worst case scenario we stay down and Southampton go up, they will need better than him anyway and we may get a deal done then.
