Chappers goal 17:45 - Feb 24 with 1343 viewsGeoffSentence

I wasn't in the best of positions to see being at the back of SARL, but myself and every one around me looked straight at the lino 'cos it had a whiff of offside about it.

For those better placed, on or off?

HE'S OFFSIDE was my first thought too Geoff but I wasn't in line with it. Perhaps an apology offering by the lino association for Preston debacle.

Well done freeze framers it was a good

Unfortunately Sky blur the video when paused, but he looks just about level from what limited I can see. Defender is stepping up which makes him look miles off when it arrives.

I am of course, exceptionally biased.

In real time miles off

Sky highlights - potentially just on.

Maybe still off

Take it though any day of the week!!

Watching Saints highlights I'm not sure I'm seeing a pen for Millwall second goal on first look.
But taking that too!

I said after it was given, "If that was off that just makes up for the ridiculous decision at Preston".

Not sure if Birmingham will see it that way, admittedly...

Tight, but I think you are right, onside when Morsy plays it.

From paused replays, he was on. Or if he was off it was by the most minuscule margin that even VAR and their unfeasibly thick line offside line wouldn't have spotted.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

If you pause it on this you can see he is clearly onside. Good goal. My first thought at the time was, 'is that offside?'

Yep. Well on as well.

And that confirms it - 100% onside for Chappers' goal

That's a fantastic call from the lino. We give them loads of sick, but by the time Chappers received the ball he looked as if he'd been well offside. Yet that shows clearly he was onside despite the dodgy angle.

(Although there's a slim chance his left little finger nail might have been a micron offside, so maybe only 99.99999% certain he was on).

Think it was off and just shows that despite the perceptions of many, these things really do even themselves up.

The freeze frame above shows it was not.

May well be looking closely, but by and large I don't care. It counted for us!
