Book recommendations 10:30 - May 14 with 3602 views | MattinLondon | Hello I’m off on my hols soon and I’m looking for some holiday book recommendations - fiction only. I’m not fussed in terms of genre as I like to read different things. But I’m looking for a book that contains a lot of humour (preferably darker humour). Also must have some action in it or a plot (just read Nora Webster by Colm Tóibín which in my opinion was incredibly dull and nothing happened). Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

Yes - and the Wilt books. Similar vintage and with a bit of 70's satire, I didn't get where I am today without reading David Nobbs' Reggie Perrin novels. Knockout, and for that matter, super.

I'm reading The Midden at the moment, actually. Love Tom Sharpe.

Who’d win in a fight…. on 17:53 - May 14 by Bloots | ….two bears or 42 foxes? No weapons allowed. |
Assuming they are the bigger bears, I'm going with the bears. If it was 2 pandas, I reckon you'd probably only need one fox.
