Mark Bircham lol

I think i'd have prefered Burchill tho

Neil Harris appeared to be a shoe-in at one point and that was very underwhelming. I wonder what his odds got to eventually.

Neil Harris was pretty high up there too. In fairness, he didn't do too bad at all with Millwall, but we certainly got the golden goose.

Bookies are good enough at using data to predict the outcome of enough sporting events to make money, but unless they're bugging KM's phone, they know little more than we do about who will end up managing Brighton.

Yeah next manager markets are wilder than most, sure I've seen 1/10 shots drift away in the past and bookies even remove a selection when they've taken too much exposure on it. Safe to say he's at least on Brighton's shortlist, but odds of 1/2 still equate to "we don't know".

Although the odds can often be misleading the amount of money placed can be significant.

For example on the Betfair Exchange (which shows how much has been matched and on which selection) you'll see there is currently next nothing placed on the next Man U and Brighton managers but £27K on the next Republic of Ireland manager. £15K of that has been on John O Shea with further money lined up to back him at very short odds...
