I've always felt that Machester United's serious interest in Kieran was more of a 'fear of missing out' if he went to Chelsea. Almost like they'd rather be the ones to conduct the experiment and succeed/ fail if it was going to be any of the top 6.

Coaching at a high level! Interesting as McKenna is still as far as I am concerned a rookie, who has had 2 very successful seasons with a squad of players who busted a gut for each other. He also had a big say on recruitment.
Both Chelsea and United have staff in place who do the recruitment for the manager, so in theory McKenna will have to work with the players someone else had bought into the club.
Chelsea's recruitment team have already put a for sale sign up for 4 players including Gallagher. Can anyone really see McKenna being happy with that scenario. Yes the salary will be fantastic with either club but surely he is not driven by money so early into his career! | | | |
