Steinberg update - McK to stay. perhaps. 15:58 - May 27 with 2153 viewsurbanpenguin

This is what I have expected, and hope it to be the case, and hope some of the very annoying people on here can get on with their lives and enjoy the summer when it finally arrives.

I’m just waiting until Phil or Stuart Watson tweet something from now on. This same guy has said McKenna has been close to joining every club in the premier league for the past week…….

He has been a bit annoying throughout this process, granted. By doing his job.

But Steinberg is very reputable so please god. Let it be true.

I think it’s fair to say Jacob has now covered every eventuality. His bets are very much hedged.

Has he reported that he's leaving, or just that there is interest from other clubs, which there quite clearly has been.

This bloke has had more stories about McKenna than I’ve had hot dinners.

Only bit of that in the content of the article is "The 38-year-old is believed to be considering remaining at Ipswich." which is rather less convincing than the wording of his tweet.

Also seems to be quite a split in reporting over whether McKenna turned Chelsea down or they moved on from him.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

This, to be fair - and while it's annoying for us to see every shift of tectonic plates in this managerial quake - looking at Steinberg's posts he seems to have only reported who is of interest or being spoken to, not any assertive catagarical "McKenna is about to join xxxx".

He is well connected and doesn't seem as shouty as some of the sources often quoted on here. So, perhaps perhaps perhaps.

Yep its not particularly conclusive. 'Increasingly likely to stay at Ipswich' - that is self-evident if he isn't going to Chelsea and he may well just be recycling what Phil told us almost a week ago.

8 hours ago, Steinberg said "Chelsea continued talks over Enzo Maresca over weekend - Leicester manager has support from key figures. Thomas Frank also considered but Kieran McKenna has pulled out of the race to succeed Pochettino"

Which, if we trust him, suggests McKenna / the agent decided to step back (though, yes, perhaps in knowledge of a future decision)

That clown has been consistently.... on 16:14 - May 27 with 1547 viewsBloots

...wrong about everything so far.

Although it's in The Guardian so it must be true. Probably.

He was just wrong when he said KM was going to Chelsea.

And when he said he was going to Brighton.

He'll tell us he's going to Utd tomorrow.

Which will be wrong. Or correct.

Bleedin Nixon. Always wrong. Don't buy the Sun.

Lambert out.

Pretty sure Phil posted Brighton was looking less likely last week.

All over social media that he’s signing a new deal. Be interesting to see what Phil has.
