I'm trying to call the ticket office (as requested by the club) - but the call doesn't even connect. Anyone else have experience of this?

Lots of people from D block couldn’t get through for hours on Tuesday. Quite a few ended up getting in the car and going to the ticket office personally.

I still can’t actually believe the club dealt with that so badly.

£900 a season ticket and they are told to just find anywhere else in the ground to sit. One older lady that has sat in there since forever, has to be on the end of the row, literally from steps to the first seat is all she can manage… what’s she suppose to do.

Pisses me off. And doesn’t affect me in the slightest. Maybe I do have some empathy inside me after all

So she can't manage to walk/shuffle across a number of seats if not on the end of the row?
How does she get up the stairwells to the upper tier? Genuine question. Does the Cobbold stand have a lift?

But what is the alternative? Should we not get promoted and stay in the Championship because fans have an attachment to a seat? Fans have the right to be upset but there’s no other way. As for the way it’s been handled, the ticket office would probably have over 1000 people trying to ring them. Impossible to answer all at once. That’s added to the guaranteed abuse that they will receive and have done in the past.

….the issue isn’t that people have had to move, it’s how the club have communicated it and how they have executed it.

They knew who was moving, and whilst it’s a fair number it’s not so many that they couldn’t have contacted them earlier and offered some help.

Maybe they could have individually contacted those over a certain age and asked if they had any specific requirements?

Maybe they could have prioritised those that have sat in D block for the longest periods?

There’s lots they could have done, but it appears that they’ve basically done sod all.

Nail on head.

This whole ‘what we was supposed to do, not get promoted’ narrative is the biggest nonsense!

….over reaction and hyperbole of the modern football fan.

We are going to have to get used to reactions like that if we stay in the PL for any period of time.

Unfortunately.

Coming from someone on the verge of tears because people are being moved in a football stadium. Very ironic. First world problems for ya I guess

Congratulations on today's empathy bypass award.

Having been to games with my increasingly ill father over the years, she probably fights gravity at a painfully slow pace to get up the stairs so she can watch her team. Sitting in a tight row with bent legs and without the ability to change position to stretch may mean she can't get back down those stairs. As a 50 something with knackered knees, I'll always sit on the end if I can. The day may come before too long that I can't go if I can't do that.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

I can’t believe how the point was that close to your eyes by you still missed it.

Clearly there are a few on here that lack both empathy and emotional intelligence (or maybe just intelligence).
